Offline Support: Capture Ideas Without Internet
Offline Support
Ideas don't wait for WiFi. Plurigen.ai lets you capture ideas even when you're offline, and syncs them automatically when you reconnect.
How It Works
When you're offline:
1. Open the Plurigen.ai app (works best as an installed PWA)
2. Capture your idea using text input
3. Your idea is saved to a local queue on your device
4. When you reconnect, ideas sync to the server automatically
5. AI processing (summary, insights, tags) runs after sync
What Works Offline
Text capture -- Write and save ideas to the local queue
Viewing cached ideas -- Ideas you've previously loaded are available to read
Basic navigation -- The app shell loads from cache
What Requires Internet
Voice capture -- Transcription needs a server connection
File import -- OCR processing happens server-side
AI features -- All AI tools (brainstorm, research, consultations) need connectivity
Search -- Both keyword and semantic search query the server
Sync -- Your local queue syncs when connectivity returns
Sync Behavior
Queued ideas sync in the order they were captured
Each idea syncs individually (a failure on one doesn't block others)
You'll see a sync indicator showing progress
Once synced, AI processing starts automatically
Tips
Install the PWA for best offline reliability. Browser tabs may not cache as effectively
Keep ideas in text format for offline capture. Voice and file require connectivity
