Semantic Search: Find Ideas by Meaning
Semantic Search
Semantic search goes beyond keyword matching. It understands the meaning of your query and finds ideas that are conceptually related, even if they use completely different words.
How It Works
When you capture an idea, Plurigen.ai creates an AI embedding, a mathematical representation of the idea's meaning. When you search, your query is also converted to an embedding, and the system finds ideas with the closest meaning.
Example: Searching for "ways to reduce customer churn" will find ideas about "improving user retention" or "loyalty programs" even though they share no keywords.
Using Semantic Search
1. Click the search bar on your dashboard
2. Type a natural language query (phrases work better than single words)
3. Results are ranked by conceptual similarity
Tips for Better Results
Use phrases, not single words -- "mobile app onboarding flow" works better than "onboarding"
Describe what you're looking for -- "ideas about making checkout faster" beats "checkout"
Try different angles -- If your first query doesn't find what you need, rephrase the concept
What Gets Searched
Semantic search covers:
Your original idea content
AI-generated summaries
Insights and tags
Any notes you've added
Quotas
Semantic search is unlimited on all plans, including the free tier. Standard keyword search (filtering by title and tags) is also always unlimited.
