Connect Plurigen to Your AI Agent (MCP)
Connect Plurigen to Your AI Agent (MCP)
You can connect Plurigen to AI agents like Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex using the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Your agent can then capture ideas, search your portfolio, read scores and research, run AI actions, @-mention an idea's brief as context, and record decisions back, all without leaving your workflow.
Quick steps
1. Go to Account then MCP & API Tokens (/account?tab=mcp).
2. Create a token, choose scopes (Read, Write, AI actions), and copy it once. Plurigen stores only a hash and cannot show the token again, so save it now. It looks like plgmcp....
3. Add the server to your client, sending the token as a bearer Authorization header. Copy the exact server URL and per-client setup snippet from the Connect page.
4. Ask your agent "List my top ideas from Plurigen" to confirm the connection.
Bring an idea in as context
Each of your ideas is available to your agent as an @-mentionable brief. In a client that supports resources, type @, pick "Idea product brief", and its full context (problem, score, research, decisions, next steps) drops into the chat. Or run the bootstrap prompt, a slash command such as /plurigen bootstrap, to load it in one step. As you decide things, record them back with logdecision, and they appear in every future brief. Your ideas get smarter the more you work with them.
